Nusa Dua Beach

Nusa Dua was design for the luxury five star hotel lining the white sand beach, it was an arid fishermen village but now change into the site for accomodating visitors from several countries. It has a public beach between two small islands. Many food and drink stall await for you while yo do sunbathing or swimming. The beach here has low and high tide, you need to check first for the tide otherwise you can not swim in this protected lagoon by the barrier reef.

Bingin Beach




The beach is the playground for surfers, still can see some teak trees while walking through the lane leading to the beach. Need a little walk down pass many step as the characteristic of all Pecatu village beach is the cliff. Small warungs offer simple food and drinks, massage women and sellers offers basic Bali merchandise. When its high tide you may see surfers on the wave or the beach become quite lagoon with crystal clear water lapping the white sand.

Frangipani





Bali has a tropical climate and there are all year round of this flowers. It can be white, red, yellow, pink or mix colours. The flower is very important among Balinese as used on the small offerings "Canang", a square form of young coconuts leave put inside any kinds of flowers, a slice of sugar cane and leaves as a thanksgiving expression to God. Balinese called frangipani as Jepun, there are "jepun bali" and "jepun jawa", the wood of jepun bali is prized by woodcarvers for making free - form statues, while "jepun jawa" trunk is softer then the bali one but the "jepun jawa" is the widely distributed, it can be found in every type of environment from the house compound till temple yards. The bali frangipani is in a smaller size then the jawa one. Women thread this flower in their hair, men wear them behind an ear or stuck in "udeng", a head band.

Tenganan Village





An unique village in Karangasem regency closed to Candi Dasa resort, it locates on the slove of the hill, the village itself is sorrounded by the wall. The village related to the story of "Oncesrawa", a beloved horse of the Bali ancient king of Bedulu, the horse lost. Those who find the horse whether dead or alive, he will grant a piece of land. The ancestor of Tenganan village was the person who found the dead body of the horse on the land of Tenganan village now. Overthere there is a unique event "Perang Pandan", fighting used some pandanus leaf with it thorn. The villager's skill is to make Ate weaving and Gringsing hand weaving cloth.

Mass Cremation




In Bali not all the deceased cremated directly, most of them buried but after several years because of there is no more space in the cemetery to bury the dead body the community conduct a mass cremation. This cost cheaper than the private one. In cremation we need to make a tower to transfer the dead body from our house to cemetery and make a sarchopagus in the form of animal mostly black bull as a media to cremate the dead body.

Nungnung Waterfall




The waterfall situated on a village of Nungnung roughly around 50 km from Denpasar Bali capital, it is a long walk to go down to the river through a congcrete foot path but the scenerey down there is so fabolous and the water is so clear.
