A cremation is a superb study of all important symbols of Balinese ceremonial life. The Balinese belief we are tied by this body, death occurs when the soul escapes from this body but it depends on the Karma, when there is no pending spiritual lesson to finish, the spirit will return back to the Source. Or spirit will descend to one of the 8.400.000 bodies to continue our learning process. When the spirit return back to God as the source of consciousness called "Yoga", its real meaning, is from the root "YUJ" means unite become one and be God Consciousness State.

In Bali not all the deceased cremated directly, most of them buried but after several years because of there is no more space in the cemetery to bury the dead body the community conduct a mass cremation. This cost cheaper than the private one. In cremation we need to make a tower to transfer the dead body from our house to cemetery and make a sarchopagus in the form of animal mostly black bull as a media to cremate the dead body.
