West Bali National Park
In 1974, an area of 200 square kilometers of coastal forest around the Prapat Agung peninsula in the northwestern tip of Bali was designated as a “Nature Park”. One of the reasons for this was to preserve the Bali tiger which became extinct anyway ! The park was extended in 1974 and again in 1985 when further 500 square kilometers of interior forest was included and the whole area was upgraded to become the Bali Barat National Park. The National Park covering most of the heavily forested interior of western Bali, is obligatory for animal and bird lovers. Menjangan Jungle resort is a ideal place to stay and look at the view of West Bali National Park from its tower restaurant, having drink wits the park scenic view is so fabolous
